Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Aurxo processes a request, what is measured, what is never stored, and the choices available to you.
1. Who is responsible
Roitels Inc. operates Aurxo and is the controller of personal information processed through this website where applicable.
2. How a recommendation is processed
Task text
When you submit a request, the text is transmitted over HTTPS to the private Aurxo Engine hosted on Amazon Web Services. The engine processes the text in memory to identify the task, input, intended output and relevant constraints. Aurxo does not place the raw question in its DynamoDB analytics table, does not include it in custom application logs, and does not use it for advertising or model training.
Short-lived recommendation record
When Aurxo produces recommendations, it creates a random search identifier and may retain for up to 90 days only an abstract task category, a non-verbatim need signature, the tools shown, whether one was opened, an explicit Yes or Not yet response, the engine version and timestamps. The original wording of the question is not retained in this record.
Technical delivery data
AWS services necessarily process technical request data required to deliver and protect the service, such as IP address, browser information, requested URL, timestamps and security or diagnostic events. Aurxo uses AWS Amplify Hosting, CloudFront, Lambda, DynamoDB and CloudWatch. Our application logs are designed to contain operational metadata rather than the raw task text.
3. The three product signals
- Choice rate: whether a recommendation view leads to opening one of the suggested tools.
- Helpfulness: an optional Yes or Not yet response submitted by the user.
- Observed return: whether a consenting anonymous browser returns on a later day for a materially different need.
Choice and helpfulness events do not require a persistent browser identifier. Return measurement does.
4. Anonymous return measurement and your choice
Aurxo asks before creating a persistent anonymous browser ID. If you select Allow, a random identifier is stored in local storage and sent with future recommendation requests. It does not contain your name, email, task text or real-world identity. If you select Not now, Aurxo continues to work normally and does not create that visitor ID.
Reset your analytics choice
Use this control to remove the Aurxo analytics preference and anonymous visitor ID from this browser. Aurxo will ask again on your next visit.
5. Cookies and browser storage
Aurxo does not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking pixels or behavioural advertising. Browser local storage is used only to remember your analytics choice and, when allowed, the random anonymous visitor ID. Search text is not stored in local storage.
6. Information you send directly
If you email us, we process your email address, message, attachments and related metadata so that we can answer, review evidence, handle a privacy request or respond to a legal or commercial enquiry.
7. Why we process information
- To deliver, secure, maintain and troubleshoot Aurxo.
- To measure whether the product helps people make a choice.
- To understand anonymous return only where permission has been given.
- To answer enquiries and process evidence or correction submissions.
- To protect our legal rights and comply with applicable obligations.
Depending on the context and applicable law, processing is based on our legitimate interests in operating and improving the service, the action you request, consent where requested, or compliance with legal obligations.
8. Who may receive information
We use service providers that support hosting, security, infrastructure and email. They process information only for those functions and subject to their contractual and legal obligations. We may also disclose information to professional advisers or public authorities when reasonably necessary or legally required. We do not sell personal information and do not use it for targeted advertising.
9. International use and transfers
Roitels Inc. is located in the United States, and service providers may process information in the United States or other countries. Where data protection law requires additional safeguards for an international transfer, we will use an appropriate legal mechanism.
10. Retention
Raw task text is not retained in the Aurxo application database. Anonymous search and feedback records are configured to expire after approximately 90 days. A consenting anonymous visitor profile is configured to expire after approximately 120 days unless it is refreshed by continued use. DynamoDB Time to Live deletes expired items asynchronously, so removal may not occur at the exact second of expiry. Email correspondence and necessary technical records are retained only for as long as reasonably required.
11. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, or withdrawal of consent, and to complain to a data protection authority. Because the anonymous visitor ID is not linked to a named identity, the most direct way to withdraw that choice is the reset control above. To exercise another right, email aurxo@roitels.com.
12. Children
Aurxo is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. A parent or guardian who believes a child has contacted us may request deletion.
13. External services
Aurxo links to third-party AI products and research sources. When you leave Aurxo, the third party controls its own data practices. Review that provider’s privacy information before using its service.
14. Changes
We may update this policy as Aurxo evolves. The effective date will be revised, and material changes will be made visible on the site.
